Curriculum

A co-educational school, JBS is a truly international school, locally focused but globally connected. English is the main medium of instruction. French and Arabic are taught creatively from Kindergarten to High School. The school creates a culture rich environment where multi-lingualism is a natural outcome of a holistic educational experience.

·     Kindergarten 1 to 2 is driven by the English Early Learning Goals, while the Literacy and Numeracy strategies shape the school's approach to the teaching of English and Mathematics. Inquiry, creativity and the educational value of play are central to the early primary school's programme. The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) promotes a thematic and internationally minded framework to organise the teaching of Science, Technology, ICT, Art and the Humanities throughout the primary school (KG1 to Grade 5).

·     The Middle School (Grade 6 to 10) opened in September 2011, offering an enriched IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) leading to an MYP Certificate.

·     The High school (Grade 11 and 12) opened in September 2012, offering offer the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Certificates.
