History of the PFA

In 2010, during its’ first school year, the JBS Parent & Friends Association (PFA) was casually formed. It comprised a number of interested and motivated parents who wanted to help with the many events throughout the year and create a friendly community school.

In 2011, the elected PFA committee did a great job of working with the school, the teachers and students to make newcomers feel welcome, organise community events and raise money for charity.

 

And now the new 2012/2013 PFA committee are building on the momentum of previous years.

 

What does the PFA do?

In short, we do want to make the school experience enjoyable for our children.

It is our duty to:

 

Welcome new parents to the school

 

  • Be a point of contact for parents via monthly coffee mornings and other social events
  • Assist the school in organising events
  • Support the school in the education of our children
  • Raise money for charities and for the school for resources outside the remit of JBS

JBS Cookbook

The JBS PFA would love you to submit a family favourite recipe for inclusion in an international cookbook. The cookbook will be sold at our International Day early next year. All money raised from book sales will be given to charity. The publish date is several months away, but we need your recipes now!

 

Please use one of the forms below to submit your recipe. You may submit multiple recipes. Please use a separate form for each recipe.

 

Our preference is that you type your recipe into the electronic form, 'save as' to ensure your changes are kept and then email the document to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

 

Alternatively you may print the paper form, hand write your recipe and place in the suggestions box in JBS reception where it will be collected.
