Communication with Parents
We use the Toddle app to keep parents up to date during the academic year
- Information on general news, school-wide events and alerts. The key tabs are news, resources and calendar. Parents can personalise the app to receive information from their child’s class and messages from their teacher.
- Regular invitations to Celebrations of Learning; assemblies; performances; curriculum information sessions; Principal’s coffee mornings; sports events; parent/teacher meetings; counsellor talks, parent workshops and special days and events happening in school.
- Primary – curriculum ‘snapshots’ are posted at the beginning of each new unit, so parents are familiar with the unit and the learning being covered in the class; weekly newsletters from each Grade plus Arabic and French newsletters are posted on a Thursday.
- Principal’s letter and the weekly Primary Newsletter are also posted.
Other forms of communication
- Primary student reports posted on Managebac.
- Parents Communications is a school management information system used to communicate with parents via email.
- Each Primary Homeroom has a parent rep who assists in the communication of information via WhatsApp groups.
- Secondary – Daily bulletin for students, shared in their homeroom each morning; Managebac is another avenue of communication between parents, teachers and students. It is an integrated planning, learning, teaching, assessing and reporting platform.
